1. Acceptance of Terms

By using ShortList (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. ShortList is operated by Tim Wolf, based in South Carolina, USA.

2. Description of Service

ShortList is an event planning and guest list management platform. Hosts create lists and events, and invite guests via SMS and email using a ranked invitation system.

3. SMS Messaging Terms

By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS messages from ShortList regarding event invitations and updates.

• Message frequency varies based on your host's event activity.
• Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.
• Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from SMS messages. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
• Reply HELP for assistance. You may also contact us at tim@mediocrity.io.
• Opting out of SMS does not affect your ability to receive email invitations.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information when joining lists or creating an account. Hosts are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent from contacts they add to their lists. You must not use the Service for spam, harassment, or any unlawful purpose.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

ShortList offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan. Subscription fees are charged through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShortList is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
